In this 40-hour course, you will learn a basic trade knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems necessary to build a highly successful foundation for business. The course consists of four days of in-class participation including lecture, Q&A, and formulative work. Additionally, there is an eight hour hands-on session where you will actually install and operate a solar PV system. This course covers Electrical Grounding & Bonding as it applies to photovoltaic systems. In this course, you will spend quality time reviewing current NEC codes and changes from previous regulations. You will review which installations require grounding and what type is best for each application. During the course, you will conduct sample calculations and review practical applications.
